The UK’s first childhood bereavement charity, Winston’s Wish, is celebrating its seasonal partnership with the region’s biggest winter wonderland – Winter Glow at the Three Counties Showground in Worcestershire.
Winston’s Wish partners with family friendly festive experience at Winter Glow
Winston’s Wish provides a whole host of practical support and advice to grieving families and children and Winter Glow is a huge supporter of its work. The organisers of Winter Glow, which offers daily fun with a wintery themed Illuminated Light Trail, Giant Observation Wheel, Indoor Ice Rink, and bespoke personalised Santa Experiences, have found the perfect charitable partner with Winston’s Wish.
The team at Winter Glow have gifted a series of exclusive ice-skating sessions on the region’s largest real ice rinks to young people and children being supported by Winston’s Wish. These extra special ice-skating sessions will give families the opportunity to relax and enjoy the best of the Christmas season and in a caring and supportive environment, with other Winston’s Wish families.
“Christmas can be a really difficult time of year for the children and young people we support. That’s why we’re incredibly grateful that the organisers of Winter Glow were keen to use their ice-skating rink to provide a safe space for grieving families to spend time together during the festive period. We’re really excited to see the joy and fun that this event will bring”, commented Paul Moore, Acting Director of Fundraising and Communications.
Winter Glow is a festive celebration, which starts in mid-November with the opening of the Ice Rink, followed by the Illuminated Light Trail, alongside Malvern’s first giant Observation Wheel and finally personalised Santa Experiences running throughout December. With a magical mix of festive fun, the countdown to Christmas has begun”

Everyone can make the most of Winter Glow, create memories and marvel at the giant wheel, keep a look-out for the Santa’s land train, wander through the stunningly lit trail and don’t forget to take a break to enjoy the ambience, with a seasonal food treat from our festive food quarter or even a beer or glass of steaming mulled wine. On certain days in the run-up to Christmas, the Ice Rink will host themed party sessions, DJ nights and live musicians.
